Ingredients
- 200g Flour / Maida (1 and 1/2 cups)
- 180ml Plain Yogurt (3/4 cup)
- 165g Granulated Sugar (3/4 cup)
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1 and 1/4 teaspoon Baking powder
- 125 ml Cooking oil or butter (1/2 cup)
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 1 tablespoon Glycerine
Directions
- Sieve flour, baking powder, baking soda and keep aside
- Cream sugar and yogurt until sugar completely dissolves. Add butter to this mixture and keep aside
- Leave aside for 5 mins and you will see the bubbles appearing. Now add vanilla essence, glycerine and mix well
- Next slowly add flour in portions at a time and blend with wet ingredients
- Beat well with a whisk until creamy and thick
- Preheat oven to 200deg C for 5 minutes
- Meanwhile grease a butter paper, place it in the cake tin or loaf pan and pour the batter to the tin and keep it ready
- Place the cake tin with the mixture in the preheated oven and bake for 10 mins
- Reduce temperature to 180 deg C and bake it for 30-35 mins or till a fork inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean
- Allow the cake to cool down for 10mins, then invert and remove the butter paper
- Cut into slices, serve and enjoy!
